RIP

Somehow in the early 90's I came upon a copy of Lee K. Abbot's Wet Places At Noon. At the time I was sending out (mostly very bad) short stories and (almost universally) having them rejected, but his writing inspired me. It was smart and tough but still very thoughtful. Years later, we connected on Facebook and he was incredibly kind with his impressions of Welcome Thieves, not to mention the world in general. Extremely sad to hear of his passing. A truly excellent person. Please seek out his books, they are very much worth the investment.
