Movie Review

Weekend Andrew Haigh — 7.5

I'm a sucker for movies about real people, in real situations, that feel totally genuine. I always marvel that more movies like this aren't made. No jokes, no dumb twists and turns, no manufactured drama. Not a documentary, but a fictionalized slice of life that feels totally genuine. Real life is fascinating. Manufactured life is almost always boring, except in the best movies. This story, about two guys who hook up in a bar and then over the course of a few weeks try to figure out if they have a budding relationship or a mere dalliance, hits all the right notes and never feels forced.

And, Twitter too… Also on Facebook
