The Novel Is Alive

tnl An early shout about this excellent event I'll be taking part in next month, The Novel: Live. Essentially, 36 authors will take turns in 2-hour slots writing an entire novel in real time, in front of a live audience, on a huge screen. It's a benefit for literacy programs through the Richard Hugo House, and the resulting work, which will no doubt be a literary colossus, will be published to widespread acclaim. If you're in Seattle, you should definitely swing by for a cocktail and heckle me while I'm on: Friday the 15th at 2pm.
And, Twitter too… Also on Facebook

"The curves are a smoke screen, I tell myself. Inside she’s a bag of hard edges. And I, Ritchie Sudden, am prepared to eat sheet metal."
