Movie Review

Jindabyne by Ray Lawrence — 5.7

A faltering take on Raymond Carver's short story, originally set in Oregon and for some reason re-set in Australia. Some beautiful photography and occassional scene that rings true mixed with a bunch of confused acting and illogical behavior on the part of the characters. Long, preachy, and fatally missing the real point of Carver's story in favor of it's own muddled narrative.
