Movie Review

The Hurt Locker dir. Katheryn Bigelow — 7.4

Probably the best film made about Iraq so far, it manages without polemics or really any plot, to communicate the utter stupidity and meaninglessness of the US invasion. More a look at what it's like to be a soldier on the ground, the heat and confusion, the role playing and the toll on both soliders and civilians of an accretion of violence.
