Exit Through The Gift Shop dir. Banksy — 6.1

The most interesting thing about this faux-documentary is seeing Banksy's actual art. And the work of many famous street art wheels. The satire itself feels pretty pat and dull: A no-name hanger on becomes a huge figure in the art scene without any talent. The message is a bit like being hit on the head with a spray-painted hammer. Essentially, that the art scene is ridiculous and people get paid huge sums of money when talent either doesn't exist or the perception of talent is relative. Yessir.

"The propane was gone. The first-aid kits were gone. Even the at-screen TVs were gone. What were they going to plug them into, a Lurker’s ass?"
